COVID-19 My Pledge to You:
I am following and adhering to the latest Government Guidelines. These can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19/close-contact-services
and I will check these regularly to make sure that I am up to date with the latest guidelines and required procedures.
As a highly trained, registered, fully insured Therapist, I adhere to strict hygeine as a matter of course. However, due to COVID-19 situation, and as per government guidelines, further hygiene measure are also in place.
I also commit to:
Checking I am in good health before you arrive for treatment, and if I feel unwell I will let you know. If I have COVID-19 symptoms I will inform the relevant authoritues and self-isolate for 14 days. I will also let you know if I fall ill in the 14 days after your treatment so that you can self -isolate, and also inform anyone else you may have come into contact with.
Follow guidelines on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow guidelines on the length of treatment times. At this time we have been advised to offer shorter treatments and/or keep the total appointment time in the treatment room to 1 hour. They can be with oils, or they can be clothed – whichever you are more comfortable with.
If you require a longer consultation period to discuss your issues in more detail and depth – please mention this at the time of booking your appointment and a telephone or zoom consultation will be arranged prior to attending your in person appointment, so that your time in the treatment room can be fully commited to your therapy. Please note that should your total time for both a pre consultation and your in person treatment be longer than my “standard treatment time” you will be charged accordingly.
All non washable/disinfectable items have been removed from the treatment room. Any items remaining will be washed and disinfected at the start of the day and at the end of every treatment.
I will watch for your arrival, so that I can open the door for you – which will negate you having to touch the doorbell or the door. That said I will disinfect everything that you can possible touch (even if you haven't) first thing in the day and after every client. Washing walls however is a bigger job and so I would ask that you please avoid touching anything unless you absolutely have to.
You will be aksed to either wash your hands or use hand sanitiser on arrival, you will be invited to do the same immediately before you leave..
I will lay additional covering for you to walk on – a pair of slip on socks will be provided for your use whilst in the treatment room and visiting the bathroom, which will be washed at 60deg with your towels.
I will wash my hands or use hand sanitiser immediately before and after your treatment (standard proceedure).
Disinfect non-porous materials, e.g. massage couch and equipment before and after every treatment.
Wash porous materials e.g. pillowcases, sheets and towels at 60 degrees after every treatment (standard procedure).
Replace couch roll and other disposable materials (standard procedure).
Ventilate the treatment room before and after each treatment (standard procedure, where possible).
Wear a fresh set of clothing for each client.
Wear durable, disposable gloves when cleaning the premises.
Maintain physical distancing before and after the treatment and as much as I can during the treatment.
As per the above guidelines You will be asked to adhere to the following:
Prior to your treatment:
To Complete a short COVID-19 consultation form.
To Contact me and re-schedule if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 on the day of your appointment, or if any person in your household is self-isolating. There will not be a charge or sessions forfeited for late cancellations due to COVID-19. I would though respectfully ask that if you have to cancel for any other reason that the standard minumum of 24 hours be adhered to. It is a difficult time for us all and income can be a bit precarious as we try and establish a “new norm”. There are also quite a few stressed and anxious people who may be wanting an appointment – be that in person or online and appointments not attended could mean that someone else misses out, when they may be in urgent need!
You should also know and agree to the fact that I will need to be compliant with any request for data from the Government or NHS t for track and trace purposes. Please be assured I will not give details about your treatment(s).. and I will only give what is absolutely necessary to meet the legal requirements with respect to COVID-19.
At your treatment:
Due to the extra time that we have to allow for the extra cleaning – I respectfully ask that you arrive at the time agreed for your apppintment to make sure that all the cleaning has been completed and I have sufficient time to get myself changed (as per the new rules and regulations). If you arrive late for your appointment please respect the fact that I may have to finish on time due to having to clean and disinfect the treatment room prior to the next client arriving.
Follow guidelines on the use of PPE.
Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser upon arrival, you may also do the same prior to leaving.
A pair of slip on socks will be provided for your use whilst in the treatment room and visiting the bathroom. These will be washed after every client use at 60 degrees. If you prefer you may bring a pair yourself to put on once in the treatment room.
A plastic box will be provided for you to put your clothes in – this will be disinfected after your use.
Bring a bottle of water if you require for your refreshment as under the new rules I am not allowed to provide one (unless it is an emergency situation).
Should you need to visit the bathroom, I would ask that you touch as little as possible – although I will be disinfecting everything that you could have possibly touched (walls though are a bigger job!). I also respectfully ask that you wash your hands as per government guidelines.
If you feel ill during your treatment please let me know immediately so that we can stop the treatment and take what ever action we deem necessary at the time.
Pay Electronically, where possible.
Please be aware that I will endeavor to make your treatment as normal as possible, within all the extra guidelines that we have to follow. If there is something additional that you would like to be put in place for your mental, emotional as well as physical comfort, and to help you to feel relaxed enough to get the most from your treatment sessions - please do let me know prior to your apppointment time.
